Time is the currency of LOVE
Devoting time to one another has been the key to keeping our marriage/friendship fresh and exciting. Taking road trips have become one of our favorites things to do; this is when we really get quality time to discuss life, be silly and do car karaoke mixed in with my “Chuku” (husband) dancing for me in the car while we grub on some hot flaming cheetos! Getting out of our routine is always a fun and adventurous challenge we like to take. Our latest road trip was to Washington DC. This trip was to visit friends and admire the beauty of the Cherry Blossoms.
I discovered that the Cherry Blossoms were a gift from Japan in 1912 to the United States honoring their friendship. Just like in any relationship we need to remind ourselves to always “regar la plantita” (water the plant) a metaphor for always making time for each other.
My Chuku and I try to make time for each other by communicating our love in as many ways as possible. For example; I love being as cheesy and loving with my Chuku, whether it is leaving him post it’s saying: “I love you” or “let’s go out” or my favorite… leaving him bible verses everywhere.
Life goes by too fast; therefore we must remind ourselves to make more time to enjoy the people and the things that truly matter in our life. I encourage you, just how you have a work schedule that you respect with so much integrity, create a schedule where you block out dates/time with God, family and friends. At the end of the day, if you don’t make time to water your relationships, don’t be surprised if they dry up. Your time is what gives life to the relationships around you. Invest it wisely and show your true Agape Love.
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.

Dedicarle el tiempo a la persona que amas ha sido la clave para mantener nuestro matrimonio/amistad fresca y emocionante. Hacer viajes en coche se han convertido en una de nuestras cosas favoritas por hacer; esto es cuando realmente nos da el tiempo para hablar de la vida, actuar ridículamente y hacer karaoke en el coche mezclado con bailes que se inventa mi “Chuku” (esposo) todo esto mientras que disfrutamos nuestra botana favorita Hot Flaming Cheetos! El salir de nuestra rutina es siempre un reto divertido que nos gusta tomar. Nuestro último viaje por carretera fue a Washington DC. Este viaje fue para visitar a amigos y admirar la belleza de las famosas flores (Cherry Blossoms).
Durante este viaje descubrí que las flores (Cherry Blossoms) fueron un regalo de Japón en 1912 a los Estados Unidos en honor a su amistad. Al igual que en cualquier relación tenemos que recordar en siempre “regar la plantita” una metáfora para siempre hacer tiempo para las personas que estimas.
Mi Chuku y yo tratamos de hacer tiempo para los dos y tratamos de comunicar nuestro amor en tantas formas como sea posible. Por ejemplo; Me encanta ser tan cursi y amorosa con mi Chuku, asi sea dejandole notitas diciendo: “Te amo” o “vamos a salir” o mi favorito … dejándolo versículos de la Biblia en todas partes.
La vida pasa demasiado rápido; Por lo tanto, debemos recordar hacer más tiempo para disfrutar de la gente y las cosas que realmente importan en la vida. Te invito a que así como hacemos tiempo para el trabajo con respeto e integridad, crear un horario bloqueando fechas y tiempo con Dios, la familia y los amigos. Al final del día, si tu no haces tiempo para regar (invertir tiempo) en tus relaciones, no te sorprendas si se secan. Tu tiempo es lo que da vida a las relaciones alrededor de ti. Invierte sabiamente y muestra tu verdadero amor Agape.
